Privacy policy

convertexa converts files inside your browser. Your file is read by WebAssembly code running on your own device. It is never uploaded to our servers, because our servers never receive it.

We do not ask for an account, convertexa itself sets no tracking cookies, and we do not build a profile of you. The advertising on this page is served by Google, which brings its own cookies — they are described below, and they never carry a file you converted.

Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, keeps standard server logs such as IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp. These logs exist for security and abuse prevention and are retained for a short period.

This site shows advertising through Google AdSense. Google’s script sets its own cookies and may use local storage to measure impressions, prevent ad fraud and, where the visitor has not objected, to personalise advertising. Those cookies are placed by Google, not by convertexa, and you can opt out of personalised advertising through Google’s Ad Settings and of third-party vendor cookies through aboutads.info.

Consent is handled by Google’s own consent management platform (Funding Choices), which asks before personalised advertising is used in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.

Advertising never interferes with a conversion, and blocking ads does not break the converter. No file you convert is ever sent to an advertising provider: the name, the size and the contents of a file stay on your device.

We do not receive the contents of the files you convert, their names, their sizes or any metadata inside them. The conversion pipeline is entirely client-side.

We do not use analytics profiles, session recording, fingerprinting or cross-site tracking pixels.

Your theme choice (light or dark) is stored in your browser’s local storage. That is the only thing convertexa stores on your device, and clearing your browser data removes it.

Because we do not hold personal data beyond short-lived server logs, there is normally nothing to export or delete. If you believe we hold information about you, contact us and we will answer.

If this policy changes, the updated version is published on this page with a new date. Material changes are also noted in the site’s changelog.
